What is a same-day crown?
A same-day crown is a custom-made dental restoration designed to repair damaged or weakened teeth, all completed in one visit. Traditional crowns are often completed over multiple appointments and require wearing a bulky temporary crown for a couple of weeks. But not at Lake Dental Care. In a single appointment, we digitally scan your tooth, custom design your restoration, mill it in-office, and securely cement your permanent crown the very same day. You leave with a beautifully crafted, shade-matched porcelain crown and no follow-up appointment needed.

Crowned in a day. Because life is busy enough.
Quick and convenient
As the Home of the Same-Day Crown, we offer an efficient, one-visit solution, allowing you to avoid the hassle of multiple appointments and temporary crowns.
Advanced technology
We use advanced CEREC technology to digitally scan, design, mill, and permanently place your custom porcelain crown in a single visit. No gooey impressions, no bulky temporary crowns — just sit back, relax, and leave the same day with a beautifully fitted, shade-matched restoration.
Lasting, high-quality results
Same-day crowns are designed for durability, providing a long-lasting solution that restores both the function and beauty of your smile. We craft our crowns from high-quality porcelain with no metal, giving you a strong, natural-looking restoration that blends seamlessly with your existing teeth.
Same-day crowns offer the ultimate in convenience, precision, and comfort, all in a single visit. Here’s why you should choose Lake Dental Care for your crown:
The same-day crown process
Preparation and digital scans
With precision and comfort, the doctor will prepare your tooth for a crown ensuring that any cracks, fractures or decay are addressed. Next, a simple digital scan is taken of the newly prepped tooth structure.
Crown design and milling
Using the digital scan, we custom design your crown right in the office to ensure a perfect fit. Next, your crown officially comes to life on one of our CEREC milling machines. Our assistants hand-glaze and bake your crown to get the perfect match.
Placement and adjustments
Once your crown is complete, we try it on and make any necessary adjustments for a comfortable and secure fit. And finally, we cement the final crown in, making you feel like royalty for the day as you walk out of our doors with your fully restored tooth, all in a single visit!

Frequently asked questions
Have questions about same-day crowns? Here are answers to some of the most common inquiries.
Yes! It's one of our favorite things to tell patients. With CEREC technology, we digitally scan your tooth, design your custom crown, mill it right here in our office, and permanently place it—all in a single appointment. You'll walk in with a damaged tooth and leave with a finished smile.
Plan on about 2 hours, depending on your treatment. That gives us time to prepare your tooth, create your custom crown, and make sure it fits beautifully before it's permanently bonded. One appointment. One numb mouth. One less thing on your calendar.
Because your time is valuable. No temporary crown. No second appointment. No returning for placement. No crossing your fingers that your temporary stays put. Just one visit—and you're done.
Technology is pretty amazing. We use a digital scanner (goodbye, gooey impressions!), advanced software to design your crown, and an in-office milling machine that creates your restoration while you relax. It's dentistry meets engineering—with a little bit of magic.
Absolutely. Every crown is custom-designed to match your smile's color, shape, and bite. Our goal isn't for people to notice your crown...It's for them to notice your smile.
