Our emergency dentistry treatments

Same-day crowns

When you experience a dental emergency like a cracked or severely damaged tooth, a same-day crown can restore its function and appearance. Using advanced CEREC technology, we design and place your custom crown in just one visit, saving you time and reducing the discomfort caused by waiting for a traditional crown. Our team ensures that the process is quick, efficient, and tailored to fit your specific needs.

Tooth extractions

In some cases, a tooth may be too damaged to repair and an extraction becomes the healthiest option. We perform many straightforward extractions in-house with a focus on comfort and careful aftercare. For more complex surgical cases, we may refer you to a trusted local specialist to ensure you receive the highest level of care. No matter the situation, we’ll walk you through your options and coordinate everything so the process feels smooth and stress-free.

Root canals

A root canal may be recommended when the inner pulp of a tooth becomes infected or inflamed. We provide certain root canal treatments in our office using modern techniques designed for efficiency and comfort. For more complex cases, we may refer you to a trusted endodontic specialist to ensure the best possible outcome. Our priority is always preserving your natural tooth whenever possible and making sure you receive the right care for your specific needs.

Referrals

When specialized dental care is needed beyond our in-office capabilities, we're committed to connecting you with trusted specialists who can provide the advanced treatment you require. Whether you need orthodontics, periodontal therapy, or oral surgery, we carefully select referral partners who share our commitment to excellent patient care and will keep us informed throughout your treatment. You can feel confident knowing we're working alongside the right professionals to ensure seamless, comprehensive care for your smile.

The emergency dentistry process

1

Immediate evaluation

When you arrive, we begin by assessing the extent of your dental issue. Our goal is to quickly identify the problem using x-ray technology and clinical examination to determine what steps to take next.

2

Treatment plan and action

Once we’ve evaluated the situation, we explain your treatment options and move forward with the necessary procedures to address the emergency and relieve any pain.

3

Follow-up care

After treatment, we schedule follow-up visits to monitor your progress and ensure that your recovery is on track. We’ll also discuss any preventive measures to avoid future emergencies.

Frequently asked questions

Below are answers to common questions about emergency dental care.

If you're in pain, have swelling, bleeding, or damaged a tooth, it's worth calling us. Even if you're unsure, we'd rather help you decide than have you wait and risk making the problem worse.

First—don't panic. Second- give us a call as soon as possible. The sooner we see you, the more options we may have to repair the tooth.

That's exactly what we're here for. Tooth pain is your body's way of saying something isn't right. We'll work to find the cause, relieve your discomfort, and recommend the best treatment to get you feeling better.

If it's a permanent tooth, carefully pick it up by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it if needed, and if possible, place it back in the socket or keep it in milk while you contact us immediately. If it's a baby tooth, don't try to put it back in. Call us so we can evaluate the injury and make sure everything is healing properly. Time matters, so don't wait to reach out.

Not always—but don't ignore it. Keep the crown if you have it, avoid chewing on that side, and give us a call. We'll let you know how soon you should come in.
